So when Doc Brown later gets sent to the old west, he realizes things will be fine, because all he has two do is mail the letter to 1985 and get his time travel supplies, This is also why Doc Brown tells Marty not to come back for him and to go home to 1985. He would have dropped the items in 1885, without contacting the 1885 Doc Brown. Doc Brown, at this time would be convinced of how expertly he was handling time travel, and would have complied. This letter must have been a shopping list of things available in the future to be brought back to 1885. He must have mailed another letter this time to himself in 1985, to be opened only after Marty has returned from the past, around the time he was in the future having the hover conversion done. He cheated and asked his future self to help him. He also can not canabilize any of it's parts because the must remain intact untill 1955 for Marty to find and use. The plot of BTTF3 relies on Doc Brown not being able to repair his time machine in 1885 because the parts don't exist yet. I also think I solved the issue of how he built his time traveling train.

I've decided that Doc Brown is completely unethical when it comes to time travel. Rewatched Back to the Future III last night.
